Two years ago, during Lent, I wrote a devotional on Facebook. I came across it today and was amazed at how much my life has changed. I used to be fiercely private and now I’m writing a blog for the world to read. However what impressed me most about the posting was how God seemed to be preparing me for the road ahead.
Two years later, almost to the exact date I wrote this devotion, I found a large lump in my breast. Indeed His grace has been more than sufficient.

I was asked if I was going to share some of my “Lent Journal” entries. Honestly, I can’t promise that each day I will share an entry. I am very private and protected b/c of past hurt and I don’t know if I can open up like that. It just depends on how deep God wants to go and what issues He decides to deal with. But, today I decided to share some thoughts that apply to everyone. So, I hope you are as blessed as I was.
“And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness” -2 Corinthians 12:9
Grace: (receiving those) things we do not deserve; God’s love; loveliness; consideration
Sufficient: enough, adequate, agreeable, plenty/plentiful, acceptable, comfortable, pleasing, proportionate
God said: His blessings, His loveliness, His provision in our lives IS enough for us; it is adequate for the situation in which we find ourselves; it is acceptable in His sight and should be acceptable to us; it is comfortable, bringing us comfort in the hardship of our situation; it is pleasing for Him to provide and we should also be pleased. His provision is plentiful; more than we need.
And His provision is proportionate to His riches, HIS view of our situation and proportionate to our need. So often we complain that our brother/sister in Christ seem to have more money, more patience, more resources, more blessings than we do. But God’s provision is proportionate to OUR need AT THE TIME according to HIS plan. And He also said His provision IS. Not it ‘might be’ or it ‘sometimes applies’; He said My grace IS sufficient.
This is His PROMISE: His blessing and provision for my life IS proportionate, acceptable, plentiful and pleasing enough for me and my situation!
Thank you Lord that you promise us your grace, your love and your blessing IS the perfect amount that is ENOUGH for us today!
